Giovanni Ristorante moved to Nashville in 2008 after 27 years in Mid-Town Manhattan. It has become Nashville’s best Italian restaurant serving the best Italian food you have always desired. They serve the best homemade pastas, exquisite risotto, seasonal black and white truffles, imported cheeses, salumi, veal, prime beef, fresh seafood and the best homemade Italian bread, breadsticks, desserts and gelato. This is all overseen by chef Giovanni Pinato.
Beautiful Murano Glass
Nashville’s best Italian restaurant, Giovanni Ristorante is in a house resembling a Tuscan villa. Inside the grand stairway wraps around a custom handmade orange Murano glass chandelier leading to the second level.
The warmth and colors of Tuscany prevail in the space through the use of custom finishes and materials.
The walls are covered in authentic plaster imported from Venice and Mantova, and the heavy timber wine cellar and Hermes upholstered bar are the highlights of the second floor where there is also a private dining room.

Chef Giovanni Pinato has been affiliated with some of the finest restaurants in the United States and abroad. Born in Padova, Italy near Venice his first job was with the Taverna del Colleoni in Bergamo, Italy.
